Running for a Colorful Cure

2 runs, 2 days, 2 early mornings.

This weekend was very eventful and colorful.

Saturday was the breast cancer run/walk at Bayfront park and it was amazing! Survivors, women, men, children, family and friends all walking (and decked out in pink) for one cause. When I was in 4th grade I found out my grandmother had breast cancer for the 1st time, it was hard to process but she is the strongest woman I know. She has fought cancer 3 times and she has beat it every time! Cancer-0 Abuela-3. Finishing that race was emotional because knowing all that I walked can help other grandmas, moms, daughters, women fight this cancer and WIN!

Sunday morning, a time to wake up get dressed and get splattered with paint?
The next day after the breast cancer run it was time for the happiest 5k ever, The Color Run. Knee high socks, tutus and tattoos on faces was the dress attire for me and 5 amazing colorful women who went off to Key Biscayne to run the happiest race ever! After doing the wave, dancing The Cupid Shuffle and take a million pictures it was our turn to run and I have to say I've never been so excited to start a race in my life. Passing yellow, orange, blue and pink we couldn't even recognize ourselves towards the end! After the after race rave, more color splatting and even more pictures our colorful morning came to an end but the memories will last a lifetime!

YOLO And A Summer Bliss

Well hello again its been awhile hasn't it. School 6 days a week, work 3-4 days a week and church 3 days a week I'm a tad busy, but I'm baaaaaaack.

As usual I'll start writing something and then I think of something better to write... good job Katerina.

Enjoy life.
Over the summer I met this guy, Gianfranco (cool name I know) who was/is brilliant is the best way I could describe him. He taught me one of the best things anybody can teach someone, how to look at life with a different prospective. Everyone is in the state of "YOLO" unfortunately (thanks Drake and Lil' Wayne) but do we really know what YOLO stands for like the back meaning of it?
Gianfranco had this thing that when we would hang out I would see him take out his phone or get pen and paper and start writing till all his ideas, thoughts and experiences were out. I was curious as usual so I would asked why he did that and he replied, "To always remember amazing moments and ideas." I thought that was great, write your moments down so the memories could last even longer.
He taught me to cherish life truly, never take it for granted and live it with your whole heart. Death is bound to happen so take advantage of the days you have so Katerina came up with little phrases to live by...
Smile more, laugh louder, dance with no music, be with your friends and family and tell them you love them, trust God while your down on earth, travel EVERYWHERE, be happy even when you think there is nothing you can possibly be happy for because I promise you there is something to be happy about.
Life is made up of small, incredible moments but sometimes we're moving so fast we don't have the time to enjoy and appreciate them.

Last Saturday Night.

What happened Saturday...

Ok, it wasn't one of those nights but it was one to laugh about in a few years.

My pastors daughter, Natalia, birthday was saturday afternoon and I was going to go for a bit then head home... Well it didn't turn out that way.
SHE HAD A BOUNCY HOUSE!
I'm 19 but when you put a bouncy house in front of me I turn 9. While I'm jumping my cares away with one of my friends I just here "NOW!" and wonderful cold water started to shower me. As I'm exiting the house of bounce my first thoughts, revenge. Of course I knew it was my pastor so I told one of the moms who don't look suspicious at all to dump ICE cold water on him, then... hell broke loose. Water, milk, flour and ashes of fireworks were on me after a few minutes of brawl but no worries payback is sweet.

This was the best picture I could find, I look lovely guys basically flock to me

"Revenge"

Live from Miami its Saturday night!
After a 2 hour shower and an hour and half of filming it was movie time with one of my best friends. Movie of choice? Pitch Perfect and let me tell you I thought it was hilarious I was singing and cracking up the whole time! But rewind a few hours before the movie starts.
Heading to the movies this cop is going high speed apparently getting to an accident, almost hitting us while he was making a left. Avoiding the accident with cop we continue to drive and I see cop lights behind us. The same cop serves in front of us and starts screaming at us of how we need to yield to cops driving. Yo yo yo I understand that but you need to learn how to yield to innocent drivers before you hit them, pshh bro. Finally after the shock of what just happened we found parking and started heading to get out tickets. Waiting in line to get some food (#fatgirlproblems) these two 8 year olds turn around and apparently the more confident one says "what movies are you ladies seeing?" Of course I would be hit on by a pre-teen and not a college guy whatever. After answering, yes we answered with confused and shocked faces, he followed with this question, "Where did you guys hear about that movie?"
Seriously, where did I hear about that movie!? Oh I don't know a sandwich told me. While all of this embarrassment was happening 3 very very attractive guys were standing a row next to us, really my luck.
All in all I thought my saturday was great filled with laughter and some great people.

Yup that is it...
